The Guide to Jewish Washington is published each August as the most comprehensive source of Jewish organizations around Washington State. The Guide is produced by Jewish Transcript Publications, publishers of JTNews: The Voice of Jewish Washington, jew-ish.com and Northwest Jewish Family Magazine.
JTNews: The Voice of Jewish Washington has informed and reported on Jewish news both locally and around the world since 1924. Begun by longtime Seattleite Herman Horowitz, who felt that the Jewish community must organize and be informed in the face of increased bigotry, the newspaper has reported on people and organizations of all level of religious and political belief.
Every other week, JTNews strives to be concise, timely and informative while providing a one-stop source for events happening within the local Jewish community. It is the mission of JTNews to report on religious and cultural aspects of the community while bringing news about the myriad of situations in Israel and the Jewish world that can’t be found in other sources.
JTNews is a community-owned publication under the auspices of the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle. Subscriptions are available on an annual and biannual basis, with special discounts for first-time subscribers, students and seniors. Copies of the Guide to Jewish Washington can be purchased for $10.
