Trust the president
font: small med large

In response to the piece that challenged Obama’s commitment to Israel because of the settlement issue (“Myths and misperceptions,” April 9), I would say that we should cut the president some slack. And let’s not confuse tactics with strategy. I think Obama is a very smart man and he means well.
People: Trust in Obama and support him wholeheartedly if only because he is well educated and knows how to read and write properly. He therefore can also think clearly.
We need to help Obama because Americans are probably the least educated people among the industrialized nations. How else can you account for Americans being so gullible and so easily manipulated by right-wing talk show hosts and political bandits?
