Professor John Bush Jones of Brandeis University will be featured speaker at the University on Wheels, Brandeis University Women’s Committee Luncheon. His topic will be, “Strikes, Sex and the American Way: American Musicals and the First Amendment.” Professor Jones is primarily a theater historian, teaching courses in theater history, dramatic structure and theory and the history and development of the American musical. A graduate of Northwestern University, he has been a theater critic for many newspapers. Professor Jones was the recipient of the Louis Dembitz Brandeis Prize for Excellence in Teaching. The luncheon will be held on Jan. 9, 2001 at 11:30 a.m. at Stars at Pacific Place, 600 Pine St., Seattle. Reservations can be made by calling Claire Kelson at 206-528-8050 by Jan. 2.
