The Seattle Yiddish Group is a friendly gathering of people who want to hear Yiddish spoken, sung and discussed informally. Interested persons of all ages, opinions and backgrounds are welcome. Fluency is not required; readings, songs and conversation are translated to English when needed. Films and special events are presented occasionally.
The group meets in Seattle at University House, 4400 Stone Way N, on the first Sunday of each month, from 2–4 p.m. Call or e-mail Murray Meld for information or to verify the date at holiday times. There are no dues. The group belongs to the International Federation of Yiddish Clubs and to the National Yiddish Book Center.
