The FIDF is the American partner to Israel’s Association for the Well-Being of Israel’s Soldiers, an organization that has cared for the soldiers of Israel since the days of David Ben-Gurion. Friends of the IDF provides a variety of social, educational, recreational, and religious programs and projects for the benefit of the men and women of the IDF. Donors may designate specifically where they want their contributions to help.
University scholarships for combat veterans, help for lone soldiers and needy soldiers, care for widows of fallen soldiers, including camps for their children, as well as mobile synagogues and mobile gyms that follow the soldiers to wherever they must go, wounded soldier programs, and the construction of major recreational projects are just some of the accomplishments of the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces. Caring for the soldiers of Israel is the only goal of the FIDF. Volunteers are always welcome.
