The Stroum JCC summer camps are for children in kindergarten through 10th grade. SJCC Summer Camp offers three sessions, each of which are three weeks long. In addition, the SJCC provides both sports and specialty camps on one-week schedules. Staff members encourage Jewish values such as helping others (tzedakah), welcoming everyone (hachnasat orachim), and respecting each other.
Camp Katan
Camp Katan provides younger campers with a wonderful first camp experience in a program designed just for them. Campers explore art, drama, science, nature, sports, music, storytelling, and daily ruach (spirit).
Camp Kef
Children in kindergarten–6th grade participate in the Jewish atmosphere that envelops Camp Kef (fun), with song, dance, crafts, mitzvah projects, storytelling, daily swimming, and oneg Shabbats.
Performing Arts Camp
SJCC Performing Arts Camp gives campers in 1st–8th grade a chance to express their creative sides. Focusing on music, drama, and dance, campers spend their days rehearsing and preparing their very own production. The program includes on-stage performances in the SJCC auditorium, field trips to see professional productions, visits from guest artists and a full-length production in which every actor has a speaking part.
Sports Camps
SJCC Sports Camp is for kids in kindergarten–5th grade who want to meet new friends, develop teamwork and good sportsmanship, and increase their confidence through a variety of games and events. Daily swimming and field trips are included.
X Camps
Exploration Camps, for children in grades 5–8, allow campers to explore new interests in three-week themed sessions throughout the summer.
Specialty Camps
Explore your mind, body and spirit with one-week specialty camps.
Before- and after-camp care is offered for additional fees. Transportation is available.
